CityCard Savings Competition - Bailey's Response
Well, my competitive nature makes it very difficult for me to say that Lindsay has, in fact, saved more than I have in the month of November. However, as soon as I buy tickets to one of our agencies’ spectacular holiday performances I will be back in the game! In November, I saved $20:
• $2 at Prairie Thunder Baking Company (I’m addicted to their bread and treats!)
• $1.50 at The Wedge (Shuffle Truffle…mmm)
• $3.00 at The French Cowgirl (they have the CUTEST ornaments for your tree!)
• $13.50 at The Museum Café (20% off creates a lot of savings)
In just three short months I have saved $50 – I bet I could have done it even faster! The OKCityCard is good for a full year, so go ahead and donate so that you have your card in hand for the new year. It’s also fun to shop local for holiday gifts! You’ll find unique things, avoid the crowds at the mall and save money when you use your CityCard.
How have you saved using your OKCityCard? Let us know!
CityCard Savings Competition - Lindsay's Update
Given that it’s the holiday shopping season, it seems appropriate to give you all an update on my CityCard savings. In November, I saved $67:
• About $6 at BJ’s (I got my free Pizookie!)
• $15 off an oil change at Jiffy Lube
• About $1 off lunch at Prairie Thunder (have you been there? It’s AMAZING!)
• $45 off a Nutcracker Ballet ticket (you get 2-for-1 tickets to all ballet performances with your CityCard; a fantastic deal)
Seriously, if you haven’t donated $50 to Allied Arts to get your CityCard, you’re missing out on HUGE savings! Check out www.okcitycard.com for all of the details. It makes a great holiday gift too.
And, since Bailey and I are in a head-to-head CityCard savings competition, I’m challenging her to share her savings as well!

"Whodunit?" Science Museum Oklahoma!
There’s a crime scene at Science Museum Oklahoma, and they’re asking “Whodunit?” Whodunit: The Science of Solving Crimes is being unveiled today. The exhibit is the newest to be added to the permanent collection at the Museum and enables visitors to become forensic scientists as they solve a mystery from the crime scene to the crime lab.
Whodunit features the expertise of real Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and Office of the Chief Medical Examiner scientists and professionals. Visitors gain hands-on experience in solving crime and, once the mystery is solved, the sleuths can learn about infamous Oklahoma criminals and the heroes of the OSBI and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Allied Arts staff got a sneak-peek at this exhibit (lucky, we know), and we all give two thumb-prints way up for Whodunit! Science Museum Oklahoma really has done it again by using an innovative experience to show us yet another way that science is used in our everyday lives.
Here are a couple of photos to spark your curiosity; however, we’re leaving the rest of this crime scene a mystery! You’ll have to check it out for yourself to find out Whodunit!

An officer at the scene of the crime. Will this be you?

Allied Arts staff member, Angye, is giving her sign of approval for the new exhibit!

We received a special appearance from the cast members of "The Nutcracker" at our Circle Club holiday party! Here's a photo to get you excited for all of the performances!
Allied Arts Celebrates the Holidays
On Tuesday night (December 1), Allied Arts celebrated the holidays with Circle Club members at the home of Sumeeta and Sumit Nanda.
Nutcracker cast members greeted the nearly 300 guests at the door, while Canterbury Choral Society sang carols from the entryway staircase.
In addition to mingling and sharing holiday spirit, guests enjoyed appetizers and a dessert spread, including a strawberry fondue buffet and gingerbread muffins.
