12X12

Bailey Gordon - Wednesday, September 22, 2010

This Saturday, there is an art show that you won't want to miss. Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition (OVAC) is hosting their annual 12X12 exhibition and sale at the Fred Jones Industries Building in downtown Oklahoma City.

For one night only, this historic warehouse will serve as a gallery for the work of 150 Oklahoma artists. What's more, you won't find a work that is larger than 12-by-12 inches. In addition to viewing and puchasing art, guests will sample food from 32 area restaurants and enjoy live music.

The fun doesn't stop there! Stop by the after-party in the 9th Street District. Your 12X12 ticket will get you special ofers at Iguana Mexican Grill, Sara Sara CupcakesPachinko Parlor and Shop Good. Can't beat that!

12X12 is one of OVAC's biggest fundraisers of the year. The money OVAC receives through the show will support statewide programs such as curated exhibitions, grants, professional development workshops, young artist events and crucial publications. In 2009, OVAC raised more than $60,000 through the event.
