Don't Be a Dead Beat - Go to the deadCenter Film Festival

Lindsay McIntyre - Monday, May 24, 2010

I am so pumped about the deadCENTER Film Festival. It’s just 16 days away!

Here’s the scoop: deadCENTER screens more than a hundred independent films over a five day period in June in seven downtown Oklahoma City locations. Beyond the screenings, deadCENTER Film Festival hosts a professional panel series and a screenwriting competition.

More than 10,000 attendees are expected to check out the films – totally fitting since it is the 10th year of the festival!

What’s even better than seeing so many amazing works of film art right here in OKC? Getting them at a discount! With your CityCard, you receive a free All-Access pass (that’s a savings of $125) when you buy one for a friend (or yourself).

For discount information, check out www.okcitycard.com. For more details on the deadCENTER Film Festival, including a full schedule, visit http://www.deadcenterfilm.org/.

For major props, who can tell me why the film festival is called “deadCenter?”
