Elijah!

Bailey Gordon - Wednesday, September 29, 2010

Canterbury Choral Society opens its 2010-2011 season this Saturday with a performance of Mendelssohn's Elijah.  This classic piece has been inspiring audiences for 150 years, and it will continue to do so on Saturday.

The performance will begin at 8 pm at the Civic Center in downtown Oklahoma City. Mendelssohn's Elijah is traditionally sung in German, but Canterbury will sing it in English. In addition to the amazing chorus, the performance will feature four outstanding soloists and accompaniment by the Oklahoma City Philharmonic.

Tickets are on sale now - get information on how to purchase here.  Speaking of tickets, did I mention that they are 2-for-1 with your OKCityCard?  You must purchase them in person at 428 W. California, Suite 100 (Canterbury's office) in order to get the discount.
