Christine Sefolosha Art Show & Sale
Christine's paintings and monoprints are a can't-miss for art enthusiasts. Does her name sound familiar to you? That's because Christine is the mother of Thunder star Thabo Sefolosha! A native of Switzerland, Christine has traveled to Oklahoma to support her son, and we couldn't be happier to have her here.
We'd like to thank Joy Reed Belt and Christine Sefolosha for generously donating a portion of the proceeds from this event. Hope to see you tomorrow night!
Final Word Friday
There is a power in everything; it is the job of the artist to determine it and express it.

CityCard Spotlight: Oklahoma City Thunder
On Today’s Center Stage – Oklahoma City Thunder Basketball
After last night’s thriller of a game, my thoughts are still on basketball. Hence today’s CityCard spotlight on the Oklahoma City Thunder.
We felt like we nailed a slam dunk when the Oklahoma City Thunder Basketball agreed to a CityCard discount. Thunder games are already a blast, but rooting for our stellar team at a discount? Score!
With your CityCard, you get 2-for-1 admission to the Loud City section for all Wednesday and Sunday games. That means a family of four (or a four-some of friends) can go to a Thunder game for $20. I’d pay that any day to see Rumble.
Tomorrow the Thunder is playing the Denver Nuggets at 7 pm. Grab your CityCard and head to the Ford Center for some basketball action.
Don’t have a CityCard? Gets yours at www.okcitycard.com. And for a full Thunder schedule, visit www.nba.com/thunder.

Ballet and Basketball
The Oklahoma City Ballet and Oklahoma City Thunder are teaming up to keep ballet and basketball fans on their toes! For Valentine’s Day this pair is offering a promotion that is perfect for him and her.
Simply buy two tickets to "Giselle" (performances on February 5th or 6th) and receive two club-level tickets to a Thunder game for FREE! Now doesn’t that sound like a great plan for Valentine’s Day or even just for fun?
Call 848-TOES (8637) to buy your tickets to "Giselle" and mention the “Thunder promotion.” Don’t miss this opportunity to experience two of Oklahoma City’s most exciting events!
While you're here, you should check out this preview for "Giselle." Click_here!

Are you a Shoe-in? Check Out the Thunder Shoe Design Contest
Are arts and athletics your thing? If so, the Thunder has a contest for you!
To celebrate Kevin Durant’s new Nike KD2 shoe design, the Thunder is holding a contest encouraging all budding artists to create their own pair of Thunder-inspired sneakers. The best entries from the adult and child categories will each win a pair of Durant’s Nike KD2s at the Dec. 16 game against the Dallas Mavericks.

Check out the Thunder’s Web site, thunder.nba.com, (or click here) for an entry form and template to create your unique design. Show-off (or should we say shoe-off?) your artsy side and get creative!
You’ll want to hurry…the design deadline is Jan. 16.
Also, beginning January 1, you can get 2-for-1 tickets to Loud City with your OKCityCard. So grab an OKCityCard, design your sneaker and head to the game to see the Thunder in action! www.okcitycard.com
Pumpkin Up! Date
On Sunday, Allied Arts teamed up with the Oklahoma City Thunder and invited fans to Pumpkin Up! Through this promotion, the first 200 fans to bring a pumpkin decorated in Thunder-style received a free ticket to the game.
Fans of all ages got creative and brought pumpkins of all shapes and sizes.
From foam French fries to sweat bands to pipe cleaners and paint, fans used anything they could to show their Thunder pride! Allied Arts artists and Thunder staff selected five of the most creative fan pumpkins to receive Thunder prize packages. The lucky fans were also honored at half time.
Pumpkin Up! was a slam dunk event! Here are a few photos from the game. To see more, visit our flickr or facebook pages.

Pumpkin Up!
Need some inspiration?Allied Arts commissioned several local artists to create their own Thunder pumpkins. They’re on display at the Thunder Shop (in downtown OKC) and featured in the Thunder’s online pumpkin patch/photo gallery. Check out the photos here. Also, pumpkin carving artist David Holland created several Thunder carving templates to help guide your designs. You can download them from our Web site here.
And we have to show off a few of David’s carved Thunder pumpkins. Aren’t they incredible?!
*First 200 fans with decorated pumpkins get in for free. All pumpkins must be registered by 6 pm on November 1, 2009. See Web site (thunder.nba.com) for additional details
