Thousands of Thanks

Bailey Gordon - Tuesday, August 16, 2011
After a very successful, spectacular annual campaign, we have a ton of people to thank! Thousands of you were responsible for giving more than $2.91 million to the arts this year.  So, now it's time to say thousands of thanks, and we need some help!

If you'd like to volunteer with us and help thank all of our fine donors who make this arts community great, join us for our annual Thank-A-Thon next week.  Here's what you need to know:

What:   Allied Arts Thank-A-Thon

When:   Tuesday, August 23rd and Thursday, August 25th
11:00 am - 7:00 pm

Where:   Allied Arts Office
1015 N Broadway Ave, 2nd floor
(Above Coffeeslingers)

Why: To thank each and every donor who gave to Allied Arts during the 2011 campaign.

Who: YOU can help - no experience is necessary!  We'll provide the phones for calling, food, prizes and fun.  All you need to bring is yourself.

To sign up for a shift, email bailey.gordon@alliedartsokc.com.  We'd love to have your help!

These kids were able to experience the arts through a grant from Allied Arts. It never would've happened without the generosity of our donors.  I hope you'll help us say "thanks!"

2011 Campaign Celebration

Bailey Gordon - Tuesday, May 17, 2011
This past Thursday, Allied Arts volunteers, member agencies and donors gathered at the Devon Boathouse to celebrate the successes of the 2011 annual campaign. Are you wondering how much success we had?

$2,819,846 and counting!

A big THANK YOU is due to everyone who gave so that the arts community in Central Oklahoma can continue to provide vital, extraordinary programming and education to people of all ages.  It truly wouldn't be possible without you!

Our next THANK YOU is to our phenomenal campaign co-chairs, Brenda McDaniel and Ed Martin.  These two led an amazing group of volunteers and our campaign's success is due to their guidance and hard work. What can we say? Ed and Brenda are incredible!

Speaking of volunteers, THANK YOU to the 200+ who made phone calls and stuffed envelopes for the betterment of the arts community.  We are lucky to have you on our team and are grateful for your support!

And to our member agencies - we are proud to support each of you and the ways that you impact our communities.  THANK YOU for your help with the campaign and for your dedication to providing exceptional arts experiences to people in Central Oklahoma.

If you haven't taken the opportunity to get involved with the Allied Arts campaign, there's still time!  Join this fantastic group of people in supporting the arts by clicking here to make your gift today.

It's All Greek to Us

Bailey Gordon - Thursday, April 14, 2011
The Festival of the Arts (hosted by one of our amazing member agencies, the Arts Council of Oklahoma City) is coming up in just a few short days!  From April 26th to May 1st, we'll be taking in the art, the activities, the performances, the fun and the FOOD - we can't wait!  When it comes to food, it's all Greek to us here at Allied Arts.  That's because we team up with Papa's Greek Foods for the week and sell gyros galore.

Would you like to get in on the action and serve up a gyro or two?  You're in luck!  We still need volunteers to help sell Greek food (no previous food service experience required), so grab a few friends and come help Allied Arts during the city's biggest art event of the year.

To sign up, email julie.mitzner@alliedartsokc.com.  You'll get to wear a cool apron AND plastic gloves.  Need I say more?  Hope to see you at the Festival!

Work the Festival with these fabulous Allied Arts ladies!  We're ready to serve some Greek food!
